Communication of vibration and stability of water turbine
Water turbine vibration and stability problems are becoming more and more prominent, such as the accident of the Russian Sayan Hydropower Station 10 years ago that caused 75 deaths, 13 missing people, and a direct loss of 13 billion dollars! The stability of the unit has seriously affected the safe operation of the power station!
Problems of vibration and stability of water turbines:
(1) The mechanism of unsteady flow, cavitation flow, separated flow and multi-scale turbulent flow considering the rotation effect is very complicated and is the basis of research.
(2) It is difficult to describe the transient flow characteristics in the conversion process of stable operating conditions and the transition process of large fluctuations, which is a problem in the actual operation of the unit.
(3) The key factor that affects the stability of vibration induced by the interaction between the overcurrent component and the flowing medium under part load conditions.
(4) The hydraulic system, mechanical system, electrical system, and supporting structure system in the hydropower generation system need to be coupled for research.
